ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Prater set an NFL record with a 64-yard field goal against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Prater made the field goal as time expired in the first half of Denver’s 51-28 win.

“The AFC Special Teams Player of the Week recognition marks the fifth such honor of his career. He joins wide receiver Trindon Holliday (Week 2) as Broncos AFC Special Teams Players of the Week this season,” the Broncos said in a statement.

It’s the 25th time a Broncos player has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

It’s also the seventh time this year a Bronco has earned conference Player of the Week recognition.
